Welcome
I have been a psychotherapist in private practice for 30 years working with adults and couples. I specialize in a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, divorce, family conflict, transitions, work and career issues, and loss and bereavement. I specialize in working with sibling dynamics including abusive sibling relationships. Approach While working from a psychodynamic perspective, I also incorporate cognitive and behavioral approaches to provide a solution-focused approach. I firmly believe in creating a partnership towards your goals. My theoretical approach may vary depending on your need and what works well for you. My training allows me great flexibility in matching the method of intervention to your need. Unlike the conventional “blank slate”, I utilize an interactive style integrating supportive and exploratory techniques. In some cases, and always in consultation with you, we may discuss adjunct forms of treatment such as medication, support groups, or specialized care. I have helped many people feel more satisfied with their lives, develop their intimate relationships, gain self-confidence, contend with stressful family dynamics, take risks, and feel less depressed and anxious. I invite you to come in for a consultation. |
